How to bulk delete old translations?

Hi,

I have updated many strings from a project that has been around for a while.
It contains many strings with old translations, that are not removed yet.
Is it possible to bulk delete them?
Or is it possible to filter strings that have multiple translations?
(I’m not the owner of the project, just one of the translators)

I did found a similar question, but that one is from 2023. Is there an update on this?

Off topic: while creating this topic, it’s required to add at least 1 tag. So I just added a random one. Could you make this optional?

Guido

Hi @Guido07111975,

The workflow of deleting translation didn’t change. It is the same as in the shared thread

Translators can only suggest translation, while the proofreader can edit and delete suggestions. So after you suggest new translations, it is required that the proofreader approve strings. At the same time, they can delete unnecessary suggestions if they decided so

BTW, tags should be added based on the question that you’re asking, but thanks for your suggestion - we’ll take it into account

Hi Tetiana,

I’m also a proofreader, but at first I forgot to remove the old translations. And now there are many of them in our project. Currently I’m checking all strings one by one, this takes a lot of time.

Since I’m not the only one who is asking this, maybe your team can consider adding a feature for this? It would be great if there’s at least a filter, for displaying strings with multiple translations.

Guido

Dear Guido,

You don’t need to remove suggestions, as only the current translation will be exported, one string can’t have several translations
Anyway, the manager can clear the TM utilizing these apps to have only the latest translations and no duplicates in TM:
