We’re trying to get crowdsourced localization going for our unity game, managed to import the source strings into the project, but I would also like to push my existing translations (Macedonian and Chinese simplified). When I try it with the unity plugin, it says all translations uploaded, but I don’t see any of them on the dashboard or anywhere else.
Another thing I tried was to export csv from unity and import that way, but the languages are being wrongly detected as french and spanish for some reason (even though the first row clearly says macedonian and chinese. I also tried making the first row just say mk and zh on those particular columns but without success.

It sounds like the system is struggling to map the data correctly in both scenarios
Regarding the CSV import issue, this is happening because the auto-detector is guessing the language based on the text content rather than relying solely on the header row. To fix this, you do not need to edit the CSV file further. Instead, when you upload the file to Crowdin, please do not click Save immediately.
When the configuration window appears, look at the column preview area. You need to manually click on the header of the column containing the Macedonian text and explicitly select Macedonian from the dropdown menu.
Then, do the same for the Chinese column. This forces the system to map the data correctly, regardless of what the auto-detector thinks. Also, ensure the First line contains the header, and this option is checked so the headers themselves are not imported as translation text.
Regarding the Unity plugin issue, if the upload reports success but nothing appears, it is often due to a language code mismatch. Crowdin uses specific codes (like zh-CN or zh-Hans for Simplified Chinese), and if Unity sends a generic zh or a different variation, the system may ignore the data:
I recommend using the CSV method with the manual column mapping described above, as it is the most reliable way to perform a one-time import of existing translations.

I first tried the .CSV option, but it seems I don’t see a configuration window anywhere, it just says multilingual file?
Then I tried changing the code in unity to zh-CN instead of zh and mk-MK instead of just mk, that did the trick for pushing the translations via Unity!
Not sure if this happened when I tried to push the original strings again (I had some updates) or if this happened when I tried to upload translations, but for some reason my updated macedonian translated strings ended up in the russian table. I really dislike if that’s done via auto-detection.
