The project I was translating has been suspended after a break in the translation process. The document consists of only around 8000 words.

Thanks! The project got suspended because the free trial period of the owner ended a few days ago. You are welcome to contact the project owner and ask them to subscribe to any plan available on our Pricing page. Or perhaps their project has an Open Source License.
As for now, I have prolonged the free trial for this account for a few more days so that you have time to select the plan 
Is it possible to change the owner’s subscription plan to free and remove the developer role from mine, so we can continue translating the game?
Yes, sure! The project owner can change the user’s permission from their side and then subscribe to the Free plan.
