Question about Downgrading from Paid to Free Plan

Hi,

I plan to upgrade Crowdin from the free plan to a monthly paid plan, so that I can better manage projects and control member permissions.

If, after a few months, I decide not to renew the paid plan, what will happen to my existing projects?

  • Will the projects be removed?

  • Or will the data remain, with premium features (like permission control) simply disabled?

  • Will I still be able to read, write, and edit the projects once the plan is downgraded to free?

Thank you.

Hi @yancheng

The project and everything will remain fully functional, but the system won’t let you downgrade if advanced features are in use (such as managers, for example).

If you decide to revert to the Free plan, you’ll need to remove managers from projects (for example, by making those users translators) and disable all advanced features.

Once this is done and your account matches the criteria of the Free plan tier, you’ll be able to downgrade.
