Could anyone shed some light on a question I have regarding translation memory? Let’s consider an example string: “Approve an item.” Now, this sentence doesn’t have a period at the end. However, it’s already translated and available in our translation memory. My query is this: if the same sentence is added with a period, would it be treated as a new sentence? And furthermore, would it show up in the dashboard? Your insights would be much appreciated. Thank you.

In general, it will be treated as a new record. But it is possible to enable Auto-substitution in the project settings and the string should receive suggestion with the aligned record to 100% match
This option will also help when running Pre-translate via TM, kindly check my screenshot below:
