Make glossary available to team members without manager role

Hi,

I want to make our glossary available for a new team member who doesn’t have a manager role (just Translator + Proofreader at the moment).

I’m aware that it’s possible for her to go into the editor and search terms via the glossary search in the sidebar. If I adjust the privacy settings for glossaries, that just changes how she can interact with glossary entries in the editor, nothing else.

However, it would be more practical if she could just click on “Glossaries” and properly view all terms at once. Is there a setting that would allow us to do that or another way to achieve that?

Thanks!

Hi!
It is possible to configure the glossary access for all members in the Project settings > Privacy&Collaboration tab, as in my the screenshot below:

Translators won’t have access to the same tab as managers have, as it is not enough to manage project resources. That is why there is a Glossary tab in the Editor for translators where you can allow managing terms for all members

Thanks for the reply! I figured that the Glossary Access Settings were the way to go.

Starting with what role is it possible to see the tab? Language Coordinator?

Hi @mneustadt !

Only the users with manager role have access to the glossary on the regular basis. For all other users additional settings should be enabled.

Thanks,
