Key Naming Convention

Hi All,

We were wondering if AI pre-translation takes the name of a key into account when translating? The reason we ask is that we’re trying to determine if there’s an intelligent way to ensure that casing (capitalization) is preserved for titles.

Thanks!

Hi @bsteele

To answer your question, AI pre-translation does not natively take the name of a key into account. However, you can certainly ensure that capitalization for titles is preserved.

Generally, AI models are excellent at maintaining the formatting and casing of the source text, so you should find that your source capitalization is reflected in the output automatically.

If you find that specific titles are not maintaining the desired format, the most effective way to address this is by providing context for the string or by defining that requirement within your pre-translation prompt. Adding a brief note about the formatting constraints or specifically instructing the model to preserve title casing will ensure the results remain consistent with your needs.
