How to cancel subscription

Hello. I got GitHub Student a year ago, and took advantage of the Bronse subscription option for a year. Now it’s expired, but I don’t know how to cancel it so that people can access my project. I would also like to know if I can switch to community version.

Hi @itsv1eds !

There are two possible solutions in this case:

  • subscribe to a Free plan
  • apply for the Open Source license

More info about the conditions of Free plan and Open Source license you may find here:

Thanks,

I don’t get a free plan

Dear @itsv1eds!

As you are on the old subscription plan the Free plan isn’t visible to you. We also noticed that you have some users in your project with manager and language coordinator roles but the Free plan doesn’t include them. Then you may try to remove those users and we can switch your account to the Free plan from our side. If you want to keep them please apply for the Open Source license. We noticed that you sent the request to us but didn’t provide the link to your repo. Please let us know which option is more suitable for you!

Looking forward to your kind reply

I’m sorry, of course

Thank you very much for choosing Crowdin!
