How to ad an translator to a pirvate project in a free

Hi we just started to use Crowdin Free-Plan. We set up our first private project and added some tasks. How can we add our internal translator to the Project? I just can see how to add a new Manager. I can’t find how to just add translators…

  1. Do we need to upgrade our licences and add them as a manager?

  2. Do we need to inform our external freelancer to add a translation profile at Crowdin so we can invite them to the private project?

Or?

Thanks, Amir

Hi @ProtaboAdmin !

Thank you so much for choosing Crowdin :hugs:

To add your internal translator to the project, you don’t need to upgrade your license or add them as a manager. Translators can be invited directly to your private project without any additional cost. Here’s how you can do it:

  1. Go to your project’s settings.
  2. Navigate to the ‘Members’ section.
  3. Click on ‘Invite People’ and select the ‘Translator’ role.
  4. Enter the email address of your internal translator.

For external freelancers, they should indeed create a translation profile on Crowdin. Once they have a profile, you can invite them to your private project by following the same steps as above.

Please let me know if you need any further assistance!

Dear Tania, thank you for your prompt reply. It doesn’t work ;-(.
You need to upgrade to ad translators for an private project. Thank you anyway.

Dear @ProtaboAdmin !

Sorry for the confusion from my side!

If the project is private on the Free plan, then only you as an owner can translate it or you may use Crowdin Language Service

Translators can be invited only to the public projects!

Hope for your kind understanding!
