Although I’ve replaced my Crowdin (SSO) account’s e-mail address at crowdin.com/settings#account, this Discourse instance has yet to update its, at u/me/preferences. Consequently, I continue to receive all e-mail notifications at the wrong e-mail address.
Hi, because this requires manual backend changes, please contact us directly by sending an email to support@crowdin.com and make sure to provide both your old and your new email addresses. Once our team receives that information, we can manually update your community forum profile to ensure you start receiving notifications at the correct address.
@Dima, thank you. I have sent (although received no receipt confirmation).
@RokeJulianLockhart I’ve checked our mailbox, and it looks like your message went to spam since our system detected it to be sent from a non-trusted domain (looks like some kind of aliases that may be used for spamming).
I don’t think we’d be able to change the email since the system needs a real one to be linked with. If it’s still crucial for you, feel free to add 2nd email manually in your profile settings, and just mute emails that are sent to your real email.
@Dima, that explains why I’m not receiving mail for your responses, too.
This Discourse instance doesn’t permit me to add a second address:
What kind of e-mail address would you consider to be a “real” (non-“alias”) one? I’m rather confused by the distinction. I’ll provide one, but I just don’t know what you refer to.
a real email is the one you have access to to (to be able to receive security system emails)
Hi, @RokeJulianLockhart I’ve double-checked, and due to privacy settings, the 2nd email is disabled.
I have sent you a DM with an update on what can be done here.
