False positive "Order of formatting tags in the translation is incorrect." in non-SVO languages

Prefer this component to vanilla <0><1></0> tags because Docusaurus does a lot of optimizations (e.g. broken path detection, prefetching, applying base URL...) if you use <0><2></0>.

Japansese:

Japanese is SOV language and an if-equivalent clause always comes before the main clause. Please relax the criteria for issuing this warning.

Japanese:

(1)大きな地震でなくても(2)(a)建物から(b)避難してください。

English:

(2) Please (b) evacuate (a) the building (2) even if it is not a major earthquake.

Hi @tats-u, this is expected behavior. The QA check compares the tag order between the source and the translation, but it doesn’t take grammar rules of SOV languages like Japanese into account. If the tags are used correctly, you can safely click “Save Anyway”

Is this something that could be checked or corrected with an AI tool or prompting in an additional post-edit step?

Hi @tats-u !

Right now, our QA check is purely technical - it only compares the order of tags and doesn’t take language grammar into account (for example, SOV word order in Japanese). That’s why you may see a warning even if the tags are actually correct. In such cases, it’s safe to click “Save Anyway.”

Regarding your question about AI: this is something that could be improved with AI checks in the future, but it’s not available at the moment.
