Crowdin Source files are not synchronized with GitHub

We use the integration between GitHub & Crowdin. However, the files shown in Crowdin for translation are not up-to-date and fully synchronized with GitHub.

Although I have synchronized the integration via the integration tab, there are still files shown in Crowdin which do not exist anymore in GitHub.

Is there any setting how I can fix it?

Thanks
Vincent

Hi Vincent,

Thanks for your message! We’re aware of the issue and are actively working on a solution. In the meantime, I kindly request that you manually remove the files.

Hi Nathalia,

Thanks for the information!

I’d highly appreciate it if you could inform me, when the issue is solved. This would be really important for us.

Thanks
Vincent

Hi Vincent,

Just wan to let you know that we have made the improvements for GitLab integration and now if the file is deleted in repo, it should be removed automatically in Crowdin as well

Hi Natalia,

one question: if I delete the file in Crowdin, is it also deleted in GitHub then as well?

Thanks
Vincent

Hi innohub,

No, the integration can’t delete files on your repo :slightly_smiling_face:

I know this is from a while back, but I would love this feature. If I change my crowdin.yml file so that file names change, it would be a very nice quality of life feature for crowdin to clean up and delete older files it has made.

Hello @leafreynolds

If I get you right, you propose allowing integration to delete files in the repository, right?

If so, please be sure that we have reviewed similar feedback but for several reasons (technical, logical, and user-based) we decided not to change current system behavior.
