Can't see my AI translation / AI seems to ignore glossary

Hey, I added AI translation and glossary. When running pre-translation it seems I don’t see the AI translation in my project. Also it seems to ignore the glossary which includes for the example below “Display” as non-translatable.
Thanks

Hello @till2503

Do you see any errors in Project Tools → Service Logs? Usually, if for some reason AI fails, there’s a log that explains why it was (rate limits, no tokens on balance, etc)

From the screenshot, it seems that you are referring to AI in Editor, which is a separate option from AI for pre-translation and should be configured as well.

Last but not least, please note that Glossary includes terms, not non-translatable variables. The term can be a word or phrase, like “Hello, world” or “London”, not {{height}}.

More about the prompt configuration can be found here:

Hi @Dima, thank you for the fast replay:

  1. I do see the ChatGPT AI was not executed due to insufficient funds. However, I have $10 on the account and only 1187 words to translate which should suffice.
  2. I executed AI for pre-translation first but did not see anything populate. Probably results from error 1.
  3. Yes for the glossary I specified words only, which did not get picked up in the TM/MT translation. The reference in the previous screenshot was “display” which represents just a word in the sentence.
    Thanks again,
    Till

Hi @till2503 !

Thank you for reaching out and providing the details of the issue you’re experiencing!

When the content is translated via MT, the terms from Glossary are not taken into consideration since such translation is made by machine engines. In that case, you are welcome to enable the QA check for Consistent Terminology in your project and after that review the translations with QA Issues in order to correct the translations with terms.

Please tell us the name of the project where AI isn’t working as expected so we will be able to investigate everything from our side.

Thanks in advance!

Hi Tania,

  1. Is there a possibility to ensure consistent terminology in the first place without working through this as a QA issue?
  2. the project is /project/arterio-technologies

Thanks!
Till

Hello @till2503

No, unfortunately, it’s possible to activate only by QA Check “Consistent terminology”. This can be set to warning or error, depending on your needs.

As for the AI, I don’t see any project-level error logs, so most likely, pre-translation via AI was not executed due to balance funds.

Please check from the Open AI side whether you have any threshold or so. Also, you might try another prompt or a lesser amount of content in 1 pre-translation queue.

Please also note that AI should be configured via the project Owner account, not the project Manager (in case this is the point).
